Welcome to the Ritual Family

Thank You!

And welcome to the Ritual Candle Co. family! We want you to get the most out of your candle experience and have included Candle Care Instructions below.

Candle Care Instructions

For the first burn, burn an even wax pool across the surface of the candle (about 2 - 2 ½ hours). Never burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Trim down your wick to ⅛ “ before each new burn.

It’s crucial to allow the candle to harden completely before burning again. You may get tunneling or the wick may go out if you don’t trim the burnt bits of the wick before the next burn, but wait until the wax has fully hardened again before doing so.

We also recommend cleaning the sides of the glass when the wax is fully cooled to keep the glass looking fresh and transparent!

Burn Time

If you are a heavy candle user, these time estimates will be much less. I burn my candles for the maximum amount of time I can, which is 4 hours at a time, and the life span of the candles is henceforth reduced.

  • Small (3.25 oz) Candle - 18 - 26 hours

  • Medium (8 oz) Candle - 36 - 48 hours

  • Large (11 oz) Candle - 40 - 60 hours

  • X-Large (15 oz) Candle - 50 - 75 hours

Incorporating Self-Care

Ritual Candles are all about bringing awareness to self-care; about making self-care practices into a daily ritual. What are some ways you can use the candles for your own self-care? We’re glad you asked. Here are 4 simple ways to begin, or continue, your self-care journey:

  • #1 Me Time

Let others know when the candle is burning that you are not to be disturbed, you need time just for yourself, or you simply need to tune out. Turn off your phone or quiet the room so you can decompress and relax!

  • #2 Affirmations

Affirmations only work when you start them with saying “I am” and if you say them with conviction. You need to look into your own eyes in front of a mirror and repeat, “I am enough”, “I am worthy” or “I am strong enough” as many times as you can on a daily basis. When you light your Ritual Candle, make it your reminder to do these affirmations.

  • #3 Nurture Relationships

Light your Ritual Candle and use it as your cue to call a friend you haven’t connected with in a while. Spend time with a loved family member. Go out with your family. Plan a fun day with your best friend. And, when you spend this precious time with these people, turn off any distractions to be fully present in the moment.

  • #4 Visualization

Every Ritual Candle is named after some kind of self-care activity or something nostalgic. “In Love” is about falling in love yourself. “Walk In The Woods” is your reminder to get out in nature. “Sunny Day” is to remember to get some sun and get out of your home. Use the name of the candle to inspire you to care for yourself.

How To Reuse The Glass

When the candle has burned all the way down and there’s barely any wax left in the glass, you can easily clean them out in the oven. Set your oven to 180 degrees Fahrenheit, wait until all the wax is fully melted, and then remove the glass from the oven.

With oven mitts, dump the wax into a trash receptacle and use a spoon to remove the wick clip and wick sticker. Wipe out the glass with a paper towel and then clean with an all purpose cleaner. Remove the stickers, and you have a great glass vessel ready to use for a multitude of purposes!

Our 8 oz (Medium) and 11 oz (Large) glass vessels are “Rocks” glasses and can be used for spirits or other drinks!
