A Fresh New Look
Since day one, I’ve dreamed of having professional labels for Ritual Candle Co. But until now, every single label was printed on my home printer, carefully cut with my trusty Cricut machine, and stuck on one by one. It was a labor of love—but let’s be honest, it ate up so much time (and patience).
After researching my options, I realized that ordering custom labels from a company just didn’t make sense for my 60+ unique products—it would’ve cost a fortune and left me constantly reordering. So I took a leap…
I bought a commercial-grade label printer!
Yes, the upfront cost was a little scary, but it’s already proving to be one of the best investments I’ve made for Ritual. After waiting for parts, label rolls, and a bit of setup trial-and-error, it’s officially up and running—and I’m in love.
That means smoother production, cleaner labels, and more time for what I really love: creating beautiful, soul-soothing products for you.
Goodbye Clear Candle Labels!
With this new setup, I’m transitioning from clear labels to a sleek white gloss finish (as seen in the left image).
It’s a bold change, but a welcome one— giving the candles a more elevated, high-end look that truly reflects the quality inside.
This change will begin to take effect July 1st, 2025.
New Wicks, Same Ritual
Over the past couple of months, I’ve been carefully testing and adjusting the wood wicks in my candles after a few thoughtful customers let me know that the flame size on some was getting a bit too big. Safety is something I take very seriously, and I’m so grateful they reached out—if you ever notice anything off with your Ritual products, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
After lots of testing, I’m excited to share that each candle size now features a newly selected wick for better performance and safety.
The new and improved wood wicks
The medium, large, and XL candles now use “X” wicks, and the small size has been fitted with a flat wick. These new wicks give me greater control over flame size and melt pool, while still ensuring a full, even burn—no tunneling here!
I’ve re-wicked every candle on my shelf by hand, so your next Ritual purchase will include this updated, safer burn experience. I can’t wait for you to try them!
June’s Self-Care Ritual
Self-Care Starts with Self-Talk
Self-care isn’t just bubble baths and candles (though I love those too)—it’s how you treat yourself, especially in the moments that feel heavy: grief, frustration, loneliness, or anger.
This month, try this gentle self-compassion ritual rooted in psychological research:
1 Notice the Voice Within
When you’re struggling, pause and listen to your inner dialogue. Are you criticizing yourself? Dismissing your pain? Shaming your feelings?
2 Name What You’re Feeling
Research shows that naming our emotions helps reduce their intensity. Try saying, “I’m feeling overwhelmed right now,” or “This is really hard for me.”
3 Respond Like a Friend
Ask yourself: “What would I say to someone I love if they felt this way?” Then offer those same words to yourself. Maybe it’s “You’re doing your best,” or “It’s okay to feel this way.”
4 Anchor the Moment
Light a candle, take a few deep breaths, and let the warmth and scent be a reminder: you deserve gentleness, even when things are hard.
These tips are things I learned along the way through my journey in life, which has left me in some truly horrendous situations. Giving myself the space and respect to allow my feelings to exist was powerful - so much so that I was able to rebuild my inner self one breath at a time. There’s still work to do, but following these steps, these rituals, has helped so much, and I hope they help you too.
